Table Rock Lake offers over 800 miles of shoreline which allows for all kinds of water activities. The most popular
Table Rock activity is fishing for 12 different species of fish. With all that shoreline you can also find plenty of places
to fish from the bank. Lake Taneycomo, a cold-water lake is stocked annually with approximately 750,000 rainbow
trout and also has brown and cutthroat trout. Many believe that it holds the next world record brown trout. Taneycomo
is also home to several bass species, sunfish, suckers, walleye and crappie.
The rivers and streams that flow into both lakes are perfect for fishing, floating, relaxing on their banks, sitting around
a campfire, skipping rocks, catching crawdads, or playing in the water and enjoying the natural surroundings of the
beautiful Ozarks that surround Branson.
The Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery, located below the dam, r has several beautiful aquariums showcasing
Missouri’s native fish and especially big trout.
Lakeside Wilderness Area is a pristine slice of nature you will appreciate and enjoy. The trail leads to the shores
of Lake Taneycomo. The 1,534 acre Henning State Forest offers spectacular views, nature trails, and nature studies.
There is a naturalist on hand to answer questions and a beautiful scenic lookout that provides an incredible view.
